French GAAP accounting for the company and its foreign branches
Support for the CFO and day-to-day contact with management control, for periodic accounting closures or less recurrent issues (e.g. opening a branch and understanding local legal, accounting and tax rules).
Preparation of French tax returns and liaison with local firms for branch tax and social security matters
Preparation of financial communication materials for management, based on P&L analyses (sales, margins on contracts, support costs) and balance sheet analyses (accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash position).
Results
Multi-year assignment, starting with a more reliable accounting and cost analysis system, leading to optimization of accounting files, dialogue with management control, and processes within the subsidiary’s finance department.
Coordinating and harmonizing work on branches with local contacts
Understanding and summarizing the accounting, tax and legal rules in the various countries where new contracts were concluded, with or without branches, and implementing them operationally.
Management of relations with statutory auditors and other Group contacts
