Implementation of the jedox decision-making tool

Background and objectives

Mining and metallurgical group present on 5 continents and in some twenty countries

The Group has decided to launch a project to optimize its management and forecasting processes, which should lead to the implementation of a new forecasting tool and the adaptation or even overhaul of certain existing decision-making tools, notably the BFC consolidation and reporting tool.

Our mission

Deployment of the JEDOX solution within the Group :

  • Leading the pre-project phase (vision, gap-analysis, project plan, etc.)
  • Implementation of project organization and governance framework
  • Definition and structuring of deployment plan and associated milestones
  • Monitoring project costs and evaluating development options
  • Gathering of functional needs from the main process contributors and identification of requirements and constraints
  • Collateral development proposals for BFC (main reporting tool) and co-construction of target specifications for Jedox implementation
  • Definition and deployment of change management and UAT strategy

Results

Implementation of a simplified, user-friendly interface throughout the Group (divisions, BUs, etc.), for a community of around 200 controllers.

We co-imagined, designed and implemented a process and a tool with 2 main functionalities:

  • A budget and forecast modelling tool: a transversal base model for common modelling topics (Capex, HR costs, financial debt, management costs), a specialised model for each mining and steel company, with dedicated pilots and KPIs.
  • A financial information tool with 2 reading grids, serving both the Top Management view and the statutory view
