PowerBI project

Background and objectives

BU of an energy group, specializing in dismantling and nuclear waste management, with a dozen fast-growing subsidiaries.

Management wanted to monitor key indicators by subsidiary/BU on a monthly basis and deploy new performance management dashboards using the PowerBI solution.

Our mission

After supporting the implementation of statutory and budgetary consolidation, we were commissioned to set up monthly dashboards:

  • Determination and definition of key indicators (financial + business) with management and subsidiaries (different business lines in each subsidiary)
  • Creation of these indicators in SAP BFC (BusinessObject Financial and Consolidation) for collection purposes
  • Creation of PowerBI dashboards to present these indicators visually
  • Definition of a monthly closing calendar for these indicators
  • Development of import tools for subsidiaries
  • Training subsidiaries to import or enter data
  • Change management to ensure that these indicators are assimilated by subsidiaries

Significant improvement in subsidiary performance monitoring

Standardization of indicator definitions and monthly reporting

Good grasp of the tools by subsidiaries in charge of dashboard production

Management satisfied with the quality of the visuals presented and the dashboard production process

In-house skills transfer for administration and data updating in PowerBI
