Background and objectives
Distributor of perfumes and cosmetics with a network of over 2,000 stores worldwide
Each store manager has access to around thirty weekly reports in a variety of formats (pdf, Cognos, Excel) to ensure sales drive and monitor store performance.
The aim is to make users more autonomous in handling reports, with reliable data that can be accessed quickly and automatically, with an attractive design, and enabling better benchmarking against other stores.
Our mission
AMOA project: definition of reporting requirements / mock-up, detailed specifications, project management representing the finance business with schedule management and development supervision, implementation of the data recovery and testing strategy, interactions with related projects (item repository, store repository, SAP), change management (communication, training, hotline).
Project management involved several client departments: sales management, marketing management, and the finance department responsible for the project, requiring coordination and arbitration.
Business expertise combined with tool expertise (previous deployment experience, functional administration of the tool, user association) enabled us to push developments to a high level of quality, while taking charge of a large part of the testing, in place of in-house teams with limited availability.
Training carried out in an international context on a cascade basis, using Power Users facilitated by the project.
Results
Decommissioning of over 200 Cognos and Excel reports, in favor of 3 QlikSense applications covering sales, customer relations, P&L store data, and centrally administered weekly challenges.
User satisfaction thanks to time-saving, modern visuals (graphics), comparative analyses and KPIs for near-real-time decision-making
Satisfaction of the Finance Department with the time saved in producing reports and the speed of project execution (6 months).
