Background and objectives
At the heart of a French media group with a worldwide presence, we supported an ambitious transformation plan aimed at improving the operational efficiency of the entire organization.
This transformation was based on two major axes:
- Optimization/integration of Source To Pay (S2P) processes
- A 360° diagnosis to measure compliance efforts in the wake of regulatory changes linked to the implementation of electronic invoicing in France.
Our approach is based on a review of existing processes (Business/IT and Repositories) and on concrete, pragmatic proposals for scenarios to bring them into line with the Finance Act, with a 360° impact analysis.
Our mission
Knowledge, analysis and critical review of the S2P 360° process:
- Process component,
- Organizational and
- IT tools and environment
Our commitments:
Formalization of a detailed mapping of business and IT sub-processes, the basis for the action plan
Proposals for optimizing business processes, IT, organization and “who does what”
Putting the project into perspective with e-invoicing requirements and drafting functional specifications.
Detailed review of repository structure and data quality, the foundation for compliance with the reform
Findings and recommendations
Synopsis of the 8 P2P sub-processes
A detailed review of the P2P process enabled us to identify 8 different sub-processes leading to the processing of an invoice:

Detailed conclusions of the process diagnosis
Detailed conclusions of the IS diagnosis
All adherences identified between the various components (processes, IT, organization) to be assessed prior to the implementation of the new project to optimize it and limit the “specific” part of the target to the strict minimum.
A resolutely practical, concrete and operational methodology, adapted to the project team and its experience
By way of example, each theme was dealt with in 3 stages: presentation of the “standard” practices usually observed, definition in the workshop of the existing situation and associated constraints, then in fine, a search for consensus on the target specifying: what must change, what cannot be changed and what must be adapted.
